About Anete
Anete Bērziņa brings 14 years of hands-on experience teaching drawing and painting across Latvia. She's got a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Latvian Academy of Art in Rīga, where she focused on landscape painting and community art education. Throughout her career, she's led over 40 plein air painting expeditions in Liepāja and worked with more than 2,000 beginners across the country.
What sets Anete apart is her belief that drawing isn't some special gift—it's a skill anyone can develop. She's spent years translating complex artistic concepts into practical, encouraging guidance that helps people actually pick up a pencil and start creating. At moosgraben Solutions SIA, she creates comprehensive guides on beginner sketching techniques, watercolor painting of Latvian landscapes, urban sketching in Rīga's historic districts, and connecting aspiring artists with local art communities and plein air groups.
Professional Journey
Completed Master's degree in Fine Arts at Latvian Academy of Art in 2010, specializing in landscape painting. Spent 8 years as a freelance painter and illustrator while teaching evening classes at community centers across Rīga and Liepāja.
In 2016, founded 'Baltijas Skice' (Baltic Sketch), a community-focused art collective that's now grown to over 150 active members. The group conducts monthly plein air sessions in Rīga Old Town, Sigulda, and Liepāja—providing hands-on learning opportunities for artists at all levels.
Currently serves as Senior Arts Education Specialist at moosgraben Solutions SIA, where she creates practical guides on beginner sketching, watercolor techniques, and urban sketching. Her work reaches aspiring artists looking to develop skills and find community.
